COMMITTEE OVERVIEW

Even before the JOBS Act of 2012, crowdfunding has had a special role in the entertainment industry, enabling arts and entertainment entrepreneurs to launch otherwise improbable creative projects by raising small amounts of money from anyone online. This committee has been established to provide a central resource for advocacy and information on crowdfunding in the entertainment industry as we prepare for investment crowdfunding to join the pre-payment, rewards, donation and loan models.

We encourage involvement or inquiries from arts and entertainment professionals, investors and donors, attorneys and other specialists involved in the industry, as well as members of the media, government and all other interested parties.
